Is soccer a good sport for my
child?
Are you crazy? Soccer promotes the development of motor skills,
encourages peer group interaction, develops communication skills,
provides an excellent form of exercise and creates fun for all!
It's not good, it's greeeeaaaat!

What do I need to bring to
class?
For safety, we require that each player wear shin guards and
appropriate footwear. Cleats are not necessary. Your child will
also need plenty of water and lots of energy. Please note there are
no cleats at The Sports Academy.

How are the groups determined?
Groups are typically determined by age/ability and/or experience.
Smaller classes featuring only one group will have more disparate
age and skill levels.

Can friends be in the same
group?
As long as they are close in age, absolutely. We always try to
honor friend requests in all of our programs as a means of
promoting and increasing confidence and enjoyment.

Do I have to stay with my
child?
It's your choice and really comes down to how your child will
react. Some parents watch each session, some do not. We are happy
for you to do what is most comfortable for you and yours.
Anecdotally, we find that children typically benefit from parent
observation and encouragement during the first few weeks. Then, as
each child progresses and confidence increases, parents are able to
gradually withdraw.
Please note: If your child is not potty trained you are
required to stay!

My child isn't 3 yet. Can I still
register?
Please call to set up a free trial class. Upon completion, the
instructor will give you a personal evaluation letting you know if
your child is ready or not.

Why do fools fall in love?
It depends on who you ask. Some say love is a biological
imperative, others an evolutionary byproduct. Some cynics call it
nothing more than a cultural construct. There's really no right
answer.
